Although I'll admit upfront to being a casual, rather than hardcore, locomotive fan, I nonetheless found this an enjoyable book. Focusing on the GWR class "Pendennis Castle," which is currently undergoing restoration to mainline running, it follows the standard Haynes "workshop manual" format, presenting the history, inner workings, operation, and restoration of this famous locomotive/5(2).
